The IYDC Ambassador is more than just a title – it’s a year-long journey of leadership, performance, and representing the spirit of “Uniting the World through Dance.”

IYDC Ambassador Selection Criteria

(To be selected from the Elite Showcase Category)

The IYDC Ambassador serves as a role model, spokesperson, and representative of the International Youth Dance Competition. The Ambassador will play an important role in inspiring young dancers, promoting IYDC values, and leading by example across various events throughout the year.

Eligibility

• Must be a participant in the Elite Showcase Category at IYDC Bangkok 2025.
• Must have demonstrated outstanding dance technique and abilities in their competition performance.

Selection Process

The Ambassador will be chosen through a stringent multi-stage selection process:

1. Portfolio Submission – Candidates must submit a portfolio highlighting dance achievements, past leadership experiences, and personal statement on why they wish to become the IYDC Ambassador.
2. Interview Session – Shortlisted candidates will attend an interview to assess articulation, public speaking skills, and alignment with IYDC’s vision.

Core Requirements

• Dance Excellence – Demonstrates strong technical skill, artistry, and performance quality.
• Leadership Qualities – Capable of leading peers, assisting at workshops, and serving as a positive role model for youths.
• Commitment – Able to commit to a year-long series of IYDC events in 2026, as well as any additional media coverage, promotional activities, or other requirements set by IYDC.
• Public Speaking Ability – Able to articulate fluently and confidently during interviews, workshops, and public events.
• Professional Conduct – Always represents IYDC with grace, poise, and professionalism in both live and online settings.
• Character & Values – Displays humility, kindness, and integrity; serves as an example of good sportsmanship and respect for others.
• Resilience & Groundedness – Able to manage the attention and responsibilities that come with the role while staying humble and focused on the ambassadorial duties.

Ambassador Role & Responsibilities

• Represent IYDC at official functions, competitions, and promotional activities.
• Lead and assist at selected IYDC workshops and community engagement initiatives.
• Participate in media interviews, photo shoots, and other publicity-related activities.

Promote IYDC’s vision of “Uniting the World through Dance” through personal conduct and public outreach.
